Setup guide

How to set up and use MYSIA.AI Recorder

From installing the extension to publishing your first help-center article. Setup takes a few minutes and you only do it once — after that, an article that used to cost an hour of writing and screenshotting is one recording, and the people following it finish the task without asking you.

  1. 01

    Create your account

    Sign up for the Recorder. You get a workspace with your own help center and a key that links the extension to it.

    • Go to Start free and sign up with email or Google.
    • You land in the Recorder app — this is where your recordings arrive.

    Install the Chrome extension

    Add MYSIA.AI Recorder from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it so the icon is always visible.

    • Open the Chrome Web Store listing and press Add to Chrome.
    • Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin MYSIA.AI Recorder.

    Connect your key

    Copy the key from Settings in the Recorder app and paste it into the extension once.

    • In the Recorder app, open Settings and copy your workspace key.
    • Click the extension icon, paste the key and press Save.
    • Lost the key? Issue a new one in Settings — the old one stops working.

    Record a workflow

    Open the page where the workflow starts, press Start and do the task exactly as you would explain it.

    • Allow access to all sites when Chrome asks — recording follows you across pages and tabs.
    • A small bar shows the step counter; it is hidden from every screenshot.
    • Click slowly and let each page finish loading before the next click.

    Stop and send it to MYSIA

    Press Stop from any tab. The recording is uploaded and MYSIA writes a description for every step.

    • You are taken straight to the draft article in the Recorder app.
    • Every step comes with a screenshot where the clicked element is ringed in amber.
  6. 06

    Edit and publish

    Fix the wording, drop steps you don't need, then publish to get a shareable page.

    • Use Fix the workflow to have MYSIA rewrite the whole article, and History to restore an earlier version.
    • Export as PDF if you need the article offline.

Good to know

Sensitive fields are masked

Passwords, card numbers and one-time codes are redacted in the page before anything is uploaded.

Works across tabs and sites

If a click opens a new tab, recording follows it and adds a "went to this page" step with a screenshot.

Keep recordings short

One workflow per recording makes better articles. Ten to twenty steps is the sweet spot.

Troubleshooting

The extension says the key is invalid.
The key was rotated or copied with extra spaces. Open Settings in the Recorder app, copy the key again and paste it into the extension.
Recording stopped when I changed page.
Chrome needs access to all sites for that. Right-click the extension icon, choose Manage extension and set site access to On all sites.
Some steps have no screenshot.
Screenshots are skipped when a tab is inactive or a page blocks capture. Re-record that part with the tab in the foreground.
How many steps can I record?
Free accounts get 3 articles. On the paid plan you get 1,000 recorded steps a month.
